Congratulations to KASA's 2010 Fred - Ronald Shoulta

Ronald Shoulta exudes the Fred spirit of service.  He awakens each morning with the purpose and attitude of making a difference in someone’s life today.  A bus driver for the Paducah Public Schools, Shoulta transports special needs children to and from school.

Considered a leader among his colleagues, Shoulta assists his fellow drivers both professionally and personally, and strives to improve the district’s transportation policies.

Shoulta spends countless hours volunteering for many organizations. In the past 15 years, he built more than 1500 birdhouses for the Paducah Head Start and preschool children. Annually, he donates time and resources to build and hand paint 140 birdhouses for students at Morgan and McNabb Elementary schools.  He even returns to the school to help the students paint their names on the birdhouses.   Shoulta considers this project a lifetime accomplishment of which he’s most proud.
