KASA and Kentucky's public universities have teamed up to provide a scholarship to an Aspiring School Administrator for one graduate level, 3-credit-hour course taken during the summer of 2012.
The purpose of the program is to assist those who aspire to become local school administrators in Kentucky, but who have not met the certification requirements. The program is open to aspiring and experienced school administrators.
Who’s eligible to participate? Classroom teachers enrolled in a university program leading to certification as a school administrator or an experienced school administrator seeking a higher degree or other leadership certification in school administration. This includes any position referred to in KASA's Constitution as eligible for active or associate membership.
How to apply? For consideration, a completed application (Word), three letters of recommendation, and verification of admittance to the state education program/university must be submitted by April 16, 2012, to your university contact person.
